Donghae Youth Global Leadership Program finishes in success at Mason Korea

Over the span of two days beginning on June 8th, GMU Korea offered the opportunity to experience a global education to middle and high schoolers from the Gangwon Province through the “2018 Donghae Youth Global Leadership Program”.

George Mason University Korea signed a MOA agreement for the development of Donghae youth education in May 2017 and is now carrying out their second year of collaboration. Activities have expanded in this program since last year with the Donghae Youth Global Leadership Program visiting GMU’s Korea campus in both June and September as well as visiting GMU’s main campus in Fairfax, Virginia in August.

The 2018 Global Leadership Programs for Donghae Youth has awarded 38 student participation in this program. The program offers campus and college tours and will provide student mentors to help students cultivate their own dreams and visions through a global educational experience. Students also attended “Hallyu and Culture Globalization” lectures taught by Professor Gyu Tag Lee of George Mason University Korea, who is actively working as a pop music critic.
