Section Information for Fall 2022
This course introduces students to business analytics and addresses how businesses use analytics to create and sustain competitive advantage. Topics include data types, summarization and graphical display of data, application of basic probability rules, and probability distributions. The course also introduces students to fundamentals of spreadsheets and their use in business applications.
Dr. Pyle will introduce important tools in a practical approach stressing the ideas and not the mathematics. In addition, students will master the use spreadsheets (Excel) to develop work product presenting technically correct and easy to interpret answers to interesting questions.
Credits: 3
Non-Degree level students may not enroll.
Students with the terminated from BU major attribute may not enroll.
