CHIN 102 - K01: Elementary Chinese II

This course is designed for students who has finished Chinese 101 or has the same level knowledge of Chinese experience, and we will cover Lesson 4 to Lesson 7 of the main textbook, Integrated Chinese, Level 1, and Part 1(4th edition, Simplified Characters). The course will focuse on developing the four basic skills in language necessary to communicate with native Mandarin Chinese speakers―listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It includes practice in writing Chinese characters, using essential vocabulary and elementary grammar for oral and written communication, exploring aspects of Chinese culture and society, and making comparisons between the Chinese language and culture. In addition, authentic text or audio, visual materials are used to enhance development of communication skills.

Continuation of CHIN 101. Notes: Students may not receive credit for CHIN 102 and CHIN 109 or 110. Equivalent to CHIN 109, CHIN 110.
