In this course students will explore contemporary issues facing American communities. These concerns include questions about identity, race, belonging, equity and social visibility. Students are encouraged to engage in class discussions and writing assignments with a spirit of respect and self-inquiry. We will complete cultural notes, reading presentations and graphic posters to review and reflect on intercultural communication and its presence among the diverse populations in the U.S.
