The objective of this course is for students to develop all language skills in Korean and foster a deeper understanding of Korean business cultural products and practices. Students will demonstrate both linguistic skills and practical information that they need to conduct any kind of business with Korean or in Korea. The goal of this course is enhancing students’ cross-cultural understanding of Korean way of thinking and social codes to help their future careers.

 

Required Korean Language Level: Native Korean or Near Native Korean

This class is designed especially for students who are native Korean speakers; those students who have lived abroad for several years and for those who have near-native Korean language proficiency. Non-native Korean students who are interested in taking this class need to first take an appropriate placement test or first receive permission from the instructor. Develops intermediate- to high- level Korean reading, writing, listening and speaking skills while increasing culture awareness in Korean business settings through authentic materials and hands-on projects with people in the Korean business community. Limited to three attempts.
Recommended Prerequisite: KORE 202, appropriate placement score, or permission of instructor.
