Professor Jin taught economics and statistics at CUHK Business School, Chinese University of Hong Kong for over twenty years. He was awarded CUHK Business School’s teaching award several times. Professor Jin’s research includes macroeconomic aspects of international trade especially for East Asian economies. He has published numerous articles in professional journals on openness, tourism, and Asian rankings. He has also conducted research in energy economics. One of his energy papers regarding the causal effect of energy on economic growth has been highly cited in the literature. More recently he is working on another challenging issue: the effect of university education on economic growth.
