Esther Kim, M.A.

Esther Kim is assistant professor of English for Academic Purposes. Prof. Kim earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her graduate degree in TESOL from Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California.
In addition to her duties at George Mason Korea, she is currently the Special Programs and Course Level Coordinator at George Mason’s campus in Fairfax, Virginia, where she oversees the creation of curriculum and course set-up for Special Topics and Non-Standard courses, and provides direction and guidance to course developers in consultation with program coordinators.
Professor Kim has lived in three different countries (Korea, Brazil and United States) and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. She speaks Korea at an intermediate level.
