Overview

In Spring 2021, the George Mason University Korea ("Mason Korea") faculty voted to ratify, and Campus Dean Robert Matz subsequently approved, the first edition of the Bylaws of the Faculty Assembly (the "Bylaws"). This was a historical process at Mason Korea, marking the first official shared governance structure at the campus. The Bylaws exist to foster faculty participation in Mason Korea’s decision-making and development. These Bylaws guide the creation and existence of certain Mason Korea faculty positions, committees, initiatives, and other opportunities through George Mason University’s shared governance ideology.

Please email the Office of Faculty Affairs for questions about the Bylaws or faculty governance at Mason Korea.
