Management and Leadership

Dr. Syed Jamal Haider is an international organizational and leadership development consultant with an interdisciplinary background in business, communication and education. He brings a high degree of practical relevancy into his consulting and teaching practice as a result of his twenty-five years of diverse working experience in the industry and higher education settings. During his fourteen years working at the multinationals – Cargill, Inc., and HSBC Finance Corporation – Dr. Haider worked on myriad projects in leadership and organizational development, including performance management, career development, team building, process improvement, and management and staff development in five different competencies: personal, interpersonal, business, project management and technical. He also served as the director and professor of Leadership and Management Program at University of Saint Mary for five years before joining George Mason University. Apart from working on many research studies, his research experience also includes conducting focus groups in United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia to assess skill standards to improve training and developmental planning practices of multinationals.

Current Research

Business Consulting, CitroPak 2015 – Present
(CitroPak company is the largest producer of different fruit concentrates, purees and specialized products in Pakistan.) Consulting on management and marketing strategies the company can employ to gain a competitive advantage over its business rivals with a controlling market share.
