Dr. Kinam Kim is currently head of Semiconductor Business at Samsung Electronics where he oversees memory and logic businesses. In addition, he is responsible for managing the world’s leading semiconductor R&D Center as well as one of the world’s most prestigious semiconductor manufacturing centers. Dr. Kim ha been part of the Samsung company since 1981. Among his professional affiliations are chairman of the Korean Semiconductor Industry Association, past chairman of the Korean Display Industry, Korean Printed Electronics and 3D Fusion Industry associations, member of the President’s Council at Olin College, and adjunct professor in electrical engineering at Seoul National University, KAIST and Pohang University of Science and Technology.
He earned his undergraduate degree in electronic engineering at Seoul National University, graduate degree in electrical engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Society and Technology, and doctorate, also in electrical engineering, at University of California.
