At George Mason University, our goal is to promote academic success. To acknowledge those who have demonstrated such merit, we provide the annual Mason Merit Scholarship every spring to students who demonstrates continuous improvement and strives for the highest academic achievements.
The Merit Scholarship amount is $2,000 per semester, for up to two semesters. Applicants must be in good standing with the University (e.g., academic, student conduct, financial) and possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the time of application.

Merit Scholarship award amount is $2,000 per semester. Each award will last for two consecutive semesters. The awards are applicable only towards Spring and Fall semester tuition at Korea campus. The awards are not applicable to summer term tuition.

If a student was selected as a recipient of this scholarship, a student must meet the requirements specified below to retain his or her scholarship recipient status.
In order to retain one's scholarship recipient status, the recipient must;
Otherwise, the award will be forfeited. Please note that George Mason University reserves the right to rescind all or part of this scholarship if the student does not meet these requirements.
* Exception for Fairfax Transition
If a recipient applies for Fairfax transition after spending the first semester with this award, the second semester award can be paused and reserved for maximum of 2 semesters. Reserved award can be reinstated when the student register for Korea campus after spending two semesters in Fairfax.
Merit Scholarship application is currently closed
