Two Nations, One Mason: Ten Years and Counting

In the search for a strategic location for its only international branch campus, George Mason University found its match in the city of Incheon.

Rewind to the late 1800s, when Incheon's ports pioneered Korea's international trade, opening doors to a world of possibilities. Fast forward to the historic Incheon Landing Operation of 1950, which forever marks the city as a symbol of the enduring US-Korea alliance and resilience.

Enter Songdo International Business District: Mason Korea's home. Songdo and Washington, DC are both planned cities and global hubs. More than a campus, Mason Korea provides a proud bridge connecting these two cities.

Mason Korea owes its existence to the visionary partnership between George Mason University and the Korean government. From its creation, Mason Korea has upheld the institutional framework and values of its home campus in the US, creating a seamless extension of the Mason mission.

As we celebrate ten years of growth, Mason Korea looks ahead to fulfilling George Mason University’s vision of creating a more just, free, and prosperous world. We dedicate ourselves to serving our communities, educating the next generation of global leaders, and creating a positive impact locally and globally.

Join us in celebrating a decade of bridging borders and building legacies—two nations, one Mason, united in the pursuit of knowledge, innovation, and global impact.
