What other international experience do you have? I have traveled fairly extensively through Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, and Central America. I am looking forward to extending my travels in Asia during an upcoming visit to Mason Korea!
What is your favorite place in Fairfax and why? My favorite place in Fairfax is George Mason University, of course! I love the vibrancy of our diverse campus, and the many opportunities available for students, faculty, and staff.
What are your interests? I love to be in nature, especially any activity involving water. I also enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, seeing live music, cooking, and spending time with close friends.
What is your favorite place in the U.S. and why? Glacier National Park. This is by the most beautiful, peaceful place I have ever been – the mountains are breathtaking, the air is crisp, and the water is perfectly clear. Glacier is my idea of well-being. I am looking forward to going back soon for my third visit!
What do you miss about Korea? I had an amazing time visiting Korea in March 2019! I miss the food, the energy, the fantastic shopping, and mostly, our amazing Mason Korea students! I can’t wait to see many of you in Fairfax soon or during my next trip to Songdo!
Do you have any standout memories from your study abroad experience? I had an incredible time when teaching in the middle east and traveling all over the region. My visit to Istanbul that summer stands out as one of my most interesting and eclectic travel experiences – I was fortunate enough to find myself part of a private car tour of both the European and Asian sides of the city. I gained such great appreciation for this region, where east literally meets west, and learned so much about Turkey’s history, culture, and people.
