This table provides a summary of details for scholarships and funding opportunities available to George Mason University Korea students.

Dean's Merit Scholarship

$2,000/ semester, up to semesters at Mason Korea

Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher

Must have accumulated at least 30 credit hours by awarding of the scholarship, but not when applying for the scholarship

This scholarship will open before the 2023 Spring semester

Replaces current Merit Scholarship, with application beginning at the end of Spring 2022 and awards made for the Fall 2022 semester

Leadership Scholarship

$2,000/ semester, up to two semesters

First-Year Academic Achievement Scholarship

(Formerly known as the Freshmen Achievement Award)

$500 – 1,000/ semester, for one semester

First semester GPA of 3.7 or higher

Attend the Celebration of Achievement event

Transcript, Resume, Personal Statement

Full-time enrollment

Eligible students will receive emails in April and October.

Application forms will be provided at the Celebration of Achievement Event.

Fairfax Progression Scholarship

$2,000 to 6000/ semester, up to two semesters

Approval to Transition to Fairfax campus

Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

All applicants with good academic standing will be selected 

Full-time enrollment

Students approved for Fairfax transition will be reviewed for this scholarship automatically.

No separate application is needed.
