[Meet a student] Jayoung Sung

How did you decide on the Global Affairs major?

I felt that I could explore various aspects of international affairs through the Global Affairs major. In particular, studying economics, business, and politics with an international perspective was the most attractive to me. In addition, I chose Global Economy and Management as a concentration because I found that I am more interested in global economics and management while taking my courses. With this degree, I plan to minor in marketing at the Fairfax campus, which will allow me to study areas related to my future goals in more depth.

What are some of your accomplishments at Mason Korea that you are proud of?

In my two years at Mason Korea, I am happy to have had good experiences as a student leader and as a participant of various school club activities. I believe every student has the same concerns as me because they will go through the same difficulties in terms of studies and life at Mason Korea. Therefore, I want to help them adjust well and also be someone they are comfortable to share their concerns with.

What kind of person do you want to be?

I want to be a person who is passionate and trustworthy!
