From our new director:
I’ve been always passionate about working for communities by connecting people and resources. That’s how my career has developed in the NGO sector working with US local organizations from the grassroots organizations to established institutions such as the YMCA of Austin, and most recently with UNICEF Korea. Universities are close to my heart as I spent many years both as a student and later as a family member of a graduate student while my husband was completing his PhD in the States.
I’m glad that I found another great US educational institution here in Korea and I’d love to get to know more students, faculty and alumni as I do my work. As Director of Strategic Partnerships, my goals are to help more people and organizations know about us and the values that we bring to the community. This work will be done by creating partnerships with companies, government, international organizations, and educational institutions to expand out-of-classroom learning, internships, and volunteering experiences for students, along with research opportunities for faculty members. So if you or anyone you know who wants to partner with us, please get in touch! My office is G508 on the 5th floor of the Mason Korea building. The door is always open so please feel free to come by and say hi. Also feel free to send me an email.
