Mason Korea Signs MOU for Mutual Cooperation in Conflict Management with Incheon's Bupyeong District

Mason Korea signed an MOU with Incheon's Bupyeong district (Bupyeong-gu) this week at a signing ceremony held at the Bupyeong-gu Office. At the ceremony, Bupyeong-gu also signed an MOU with the Korea Conflict Management Institute. Both MOUs were signed for the purpose of mutual cooperation in conflict management to strengthen communication and resolve conflicts in the local community.

Campus Dean Dr. Robert Matz, Dr. Roland B. Wilson, Co-Director of Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia), and Dr. Hyang Lee, Director of Industrial-University Collaboration Foundation (IUCF) represented Mason Korea at the signing ceremony. Cha Jun Taek, mayor of Bupyeong district and Kim Mi Ra, President of the Korea Conflict Management Institute participated in the ceremony.

Mason Korea launched the first Conflict Analysis and Resolution program in Asia in 2017, and established the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia) in 2019. PACSC Asia is an institution that studies conflict resolutions for social issues and business conflicts, fostering experts in the fields of conflict resolution, international cooperation, and sustainable development. In the future, cooperation with Bupyeong district will include conflict resolution workshops, educational programs, internships, and knowledge sharing in the area of conflict resolution.
