As part of Mason Korea’s Mason Cares Program, the university’s community engagement initiative launched in 2020, thirty Mason Korea volunteers participated in Beach Cleaning Day at Masian Beach in Incheon last Friday.
Adhering to strict COVID safety protocols, Mason Korea’s Campus Dean, faculty, students, and staff joined forces to clean up marine debris and litter at Masian Beach in Incheon in efforts to protect marine life and preserve the local environment.
“We’re proud to be members of the Incheon community, and delighted to be able to contribute to it, whether through research, events on campus, work with local middle and high schools, lifelong learning programs, or service events such as this one,” said Mason Korea Campus Dean Dr. Robert Matz.
As a university committed to social responsibility and sustainability, Mason Korea looks forward to continuing to explore ways to positively impact local communities.
