Professor Gyu Tag Lee, K-pop expert and associate professor of anthropology and culture at Mason Korea, successfully completed his 13-lecture series titled "So You Think You Know K-Pop?" on popular TV show EBS CLASS-e. CLASS-e is a special lecture series by renowned speakers that airs on EBS, a major education channel in Korea. Professor Lee, an acclaimed pop music critic, discusses the K-pop syndrome in depth, including its inception, the three generations of K-pop, and the upcoming fourth generation of K-pop.
“K-pop is more than popular music,” says Lee. “It represents a symbolic culture representing young people around the world and it's time to seriously consider how to further develop it.”
