Professor Soyoung Kwon Featured on KBS Radio

Following the success of the 2021 CSPS-Korea Annual Symposium entitled “Human Security in the Gray Zone: North Korean Defectors and Their Children” held in May, Dr. Soyoung Kwon, Director of CSPS-Korea and a professor of Global Affairs, recently gave an interview on KBS Radio program “Hanminjok Hanaro” (One Korean People). The program delivers news to Korean people across the globe through the radio station of KBS, a major broadcaster in Korea.

In the in-depth interview, Dr. Kwon discussed the themes of the recent symposium and addressed the issue of Korean unification from an international and human security standpoint. She also introduced various aspects of George Mason University Korea, including our research centers, CSPS-Korea and the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia), as well as our Global Affairs and Conflict Resolution and Analysis programs.

Dr. Kwon will be joining the Schar School of Policy and Government at the Mason Square campus this fall as a visiting scholar doing research on "Biden's Asia Policy" and "Data Scientific Approach to Studying North Korea."
