Record Number of Mason Korea Students Study at Fairfax Campus This Fall

photoThis fall, 84 Mason Korea students are studying at George Mason University’s Fairfax campus as part of Mason Korea’s undergraduate curriculum. The largest cohort to visit the Fairfax campus to date, the students are eager to be at the Fairfax campus, especially after the one-year hiatus on the program due to the pandemic.

Our students received a warm welcome at the recent Mason Korea Welcome Event held by Mason’s University Life (UL) Offices. Students learned more about life at the Fairfax campus and had a chance to meet fellow Mason students and UL staff, including Hannah Park, who previously worked with Mason Korea’s student services. Students also attended a special job search session held by Mason’s career services.

Two Mason Korea students, Hyowon Kim and Chae Rin Lee, are serving as Student Ambassadors this fall to represent the Mason Korea students.

“Student enrollments have grown substantially over the last few years at Mason Korea. Now that these students are entering their junior and senior years, the Fairfax campus is seeing that growth as well,” said Mason Korea Campus Dean Robert Matz. “The year in Fairfax is an important part of the Mason Korea experience. We’re delighted it’s back,” he added.
