Dr. Roland B. Wilson and PACSC Asia Hold Problem-Solving Workshop at DMZ

Creating Dynamic and Sustainable Zones and Cities of Peace

photoDr. Roland B. Wilson, Co-Director of the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia) at Mason Korea and young scholars of PACSC Asia in collaboration with Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) successfully hosted the Fall 2021 off-site Problem-Solving Workshop at the DMZ Museum located in Goseong, South Korea.

The workshop, entitled "Creating Dynamic and Sustainable Zones and Cities of Peace," took place in the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) area near the North Korean border, allowing participants to better understand key concepts and explore unique possibilities in an experimental learning environment. Through deliberate and dynamic discussions, participants successfully created strong working definitions and criteria for evaluating cities and zones of peace.

PACSC Asia is looking forward to further collaboration with HSF in support of peace and eventual unification of the Korean peninsula.
