Mason Korea Professor Gyu Tag Lee Featured in KBS Documentary

photoDr. Gyu Tag Lee, a well-known K-Pop expert who teaches pop music and media studies at Mason Korea, was recently featured in a KBS documentary called "How K-Pop Saved Me."

The documentary is about a young woman from Tulsa, Oklahoma who ventures out to South Korea with dreams of becoming a K-Pop star. The documentary also shows how K-Pop has become a symbol of hope for younger generations and minorities. Dr. Lee talks about how global fans relate to K-Pop music and culture, and how the future of K-Pop will involve more non-Koreans.
