The Boot Camp Academy was composed of four online sessions in October and November, followed by an in-person workshop in December to promote a local to global understanding of the Korean unification process among Korean and international students as well as North Korean diaspora.

Mason Korea Professors Roland Wilson (PACSC Asia Co-Director), Jihye Lim (Global Affairs), and Hye Yun Kang (Conflict Analysis and Resolution) engaged in a panel discussion on creating a way forward for unification. In addition, Dr. Eunkyoung Oh (Konyang University) presented on the state of mind of North and South Korean youth and Dr. HyungJun Jeon (Dankook Center for Dispute Resolution) delivered a presentation called “Will Mediation Help with Unification Processes.”

The workshop concluded with a panel discussion featuring the participants of the online training sessions and a recognition ceremony of workshop participants.
