Mason Korea Holds Global Leadership Program at Daegun High School

photoOver the course of five weeks in October and November, Mason Korea held a Global Leadership Program for some 20 students at Daegun High School located in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon as part of a program organized by the Office of Community Relations. Professor Kimberlie Fair, who teaches business at Mason Korea, gave a lecture series on how to create a resume, while Professor Eunmee Lee who teaches English for Academic Purposes, taught an introductory communication course.

Four Mason Korea student leaders also conducted mentoring sessions where they enjoyed interacting with the students. Hwiryeong Cho (sophomore, economics major) supported the overall program as Program Assistant.photo

"Students were very engaged as we worked together to look at postings for their dream job and discussed what skills they can work on now to prepare themselves for the future," said Professor Fair.

“I have gained new perspectives on the identity of Mason Korea in Korean society through these visits at local high schools," said Professor Lee, adding, "I also enjoyed watching our student Hwiryeong Cho leading and guiding students during class activities as the Program Assistant.”
