Mason Korea Freshmen Present at EAP Research Exhibition

Freshmen in Professor Eunhee Seo’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) 116 course concluded the spring semester with a poster presentation held at the Mason Korea Global Lounge.

Over 50 Mason Korea students, faculty, staff, and leaders attended the exhibition to watch the students present their work live. The students worked on their projects throughout the entire semester and received support from many members of the Mason Korea community.

Students explored issues surrounding the Mason Korea community and presented their main findings and recommendations for major stakeholders on campus to improve the current situation. Topics included COVID-19, Global Warming, Internship Opportunities, and Identity and Language Learning.

“Despite many challenges, it was an enjoyable and meaningful experience thanks to my professor's kind feedback and my wonderful teammates,” said Chaemin Jang, adding, “I think I can apply the poster composition, report writing, and data collection methods I learned while working on SAP to other research projects in other courses.”

“I am so delighted to see such wonderful outcomes of the students’ research projects and have the opportunity to showcase their semester-long endeavors to the Mason Korea community,” said Professor Eunhee Seo. “The SAP Exhibition intends to give students a live experience for their professional development opportunity and growth. We are very thankful for all the community members who supported the projects and plan to hold this kind of event every semester,” she added.
