Mason Korea Welcomes New Associate Dean of University Life Angela Kang

This spring, Mason Korea welcomed Angela Kang as its new Associate Dean of University Life. Prior to joining Mason Korea, Kang served as the Director of Student Life at St. Charles Community College in Missouri where she led student activities, conduct, mental health services, and student support programs.

With nearly 20 years of experience as a student affairs professional, Kang has worked in public, private, and four-year and two-year higher education institutions in Massachusetts, New York, Arizona, Minnesota, and Missouri. Her experiences are in residence life, student activities, first year experience, new student programs, and student conduct.

Kang received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, and her Master of Arts in Education from the University of Connecticut.

Kang thrives on helping students become the best version of themselves. “I love watching students grow and create a future that is meaningful both personally and professionally,” said Kang, adding, “I also prioritize building relationships with campus and community partners to equip our students with the best resources and support available.”

“Angela Kang brings so much to her new role at Mason Korea,” Robert Matz, Mason Korea Campus Dean said. “I am excited not only because she so evidently cares about the success of students and has a long record of helping students achieve it, but also because of her particular experience in residence life, one of the areas we really want to focus on developing on the IGC campus, along with additional campus amenities.”
