Mason Korea Celebrates Student Achievements

Mason Korea recently hosted a university-wide event to commend students for their exceptional academic accomplishments and exemplary leadership.

The gathering brought together students, faculty, leadership, and staff to extend heartfelt congratulations to a myriad of outstanding individuals who earned a place on the Dean's List and garnered various accolades.

Noteworthy awards presented included the Research Writing Competition award, the Mason Reads Essay Competition award, the First-Year Academic Achievement award, the Merit and Leadership scholarship, and the Registered Student Organization (RSO) awards. A faculty member, Professor Claude Drolet, was also recognized as RSO Advisor of the Semester.

"Mason Korea students are talented, hard-working, well-rounded, and conscientious,” said Mason Korea Associate Dean for Faculty and Academic Affairs Dr. Shannon Davis. “The Celebration of Achievement is one of the opportunities we have to highlight this in our students. It was exciting to be able to recognize our students' efforts in and out of the classroom, achievements that are preparing our students to be the changemakers the world needs."

“It always amazes me what students can accomplish as college students,” said Mason Korea Associate Dean of University Life Angela Kang. “Our students have shown exemplary leadership with their passion and commitment to improving our campus and IGC community both in and outside the classrooms. We are honored to celebrate their hard work, persistence, personal growth, and achievements.”

The Celebration of Achievement event, organized by the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of University Life, takes place each semester to recognize the commendable triumphs of students during the preceding term.
