Mason Korea Partners with GM Korea in Local CSR Initiative

Mason Korea recently joined forces with GM Employee Foundation Korea (GEFK) to beautify the Bupyeong district of Incheon by organizing a mural painting volunteer event.

This marks the second consecutive year of GEFK's mural painting project, this time focusing on the "Cheongcheon 2-dong Kindergarten" area in Bupyeong-gu, where the theme was "Hope and Future," adding a touch of positivity to the local environment.

Mason Korea's leadership team, staff, and students teamed up with GM Dreams, a volunteer group affiliated with GEFK, and the Bupyeong-gu Office in this joint initiative. Brian McMurray, President of GM's Engineering Center in Korea; Lee Byungcheol, Director of Bupyeong-gu Volunteer Center; and GM employees also attended the event.

"Participating in mural painting volunteer activities with GEFK has been a meaningful way to create more opportunities for student volunteers and to practice the values of sharing,” said Mason Korea Campus Dean Robert Matz. “We remain committed to expanding our support for improving the local community in collaboration with Incheon's local businesses," he added.

Brian McMurray, President of GM’s Engineering Center in Korea, expressed his pride in GM employees' active involvement in social contribution activities, stating, "We are dedicated to continuing our collaborative efforts with Mason Korea, emphasizing the values of diversity and inclusion, which are fundamental to GM."
