Mason Korea recently hosted its annual Alumni Night at the President Hotel in Seoul, breaking records with an unprecedented turnout. The event, organized by the George Mason University Alumni Association's Korea Chapter, welcomed over 60 Mason alumni from across the globe who currently call Korea home, marking a notable increase in attendance compared to previous years.
The celebration brought together a diverse group of Mason alumni, including current faculty and staff from Mason Korea, alongside Mason Korea Campus Dean Robert Matz. The event provided a platform for participants to exchange stories of personal and professional growth, while envisioning an exciting future for Mason Korea. Adding a special touch to the night, the Mason Korea student band Crescent delivered memorable performances.
Christina Cha, the Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships at Mason Korea, underscored the transformative power of alumni support. Emphasizing that even small contributions make a significant impact, the night served as a testament to the profound influence of alumni involvement.
Guiding the festivities with charisma and energy was Henry Joo, a distinguished Mason alumnus (BS in Decision and Information Sciences, ‘96) and the Head of IT at Philips Korea. As the dynamic Master of Ceremonies, Joo orchestrated engaging games and facilitated an evening of delightful networking, providing a fitting conclusion to the year's achievements.
