For Han San, Inc., a construction company based in Newport News, Virginia, giving back means opening doors to education and opportunity. As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, the company has contributed $66,000 to Mason Korea since 2022, ensuring that students facing financial challenges can pursue their dreams of a U.S. education. The support doesn’t stop there—Han San has pledged to continue its commitment in the years ahead.
At the heart of this generosity is Jin Song, CEO of Han San, Inc. His connection to both Korea and the United States runs deep. “Korea is my first home, where I received my education. The United States became my second home, where I was able to grow my business and pursue my dreams,” Song shared.
It was through a business network that Song first learned about Mason Korea. Inspired by the university’s mission to nurture global leaders from diverse backgrounds, he saw a chance to give back in a way that resonated with his own journey.
“I’ve always been interested in supporting students and their dreams,” he explained. “Through my gifts to Mason Korea students, I hope they will also gain opportunities to broaden their horizons, build bridges across cultures, and realize their own potential, not deterred by financial challenges.”
Mason Korea extends heartfelt gratitude to Song and Han San, Inc. His contributions represent more than financial support—they are an investment in the future of students who will one day connect Korea, the U.S., and the wider world.
