For Jooeun Park, being a Mason Korea student has never been just about the classroom.
The Global Affairs junior has spent her time on campus showing up for others by mentoring local high school students through the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education's mentoring program, and serving as her program's student representative, where she worked to keep communication flowing between students and the broader campus community.
That commitment didn't go unnoticed. The Incheon Global Campus Foundation recently honored Park with the Incheon Superintendent of Education Award, recognizing students who have made a meaningful difference both on campus and in the local community.
"This award means a lot to me because it reflects the experiences and growth I've had through the opportunities I was given," said Park. "At Mason Korea, I learned that looking for opportunities often leads to more meaningful experiences than you'd expect."
Campus Dean Joshua Park reflected on what the recognition means. "Jooeun embodies the qualities of a global leader, excelling academically while also practicing coexistence with the local community," he said. "We will continue to spare no effort in supporting our students as they grow into leaders who will make their mark on the world."
