Social and Behavioral Sciences | Select 3 credits of social and behavioral sciences in addition to the Mason Core social and behavioral sciences requirement. The two courses used to fulfill the combined college and Mason Core requirements must be from different disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. |
* Students must have an intermediate level proficency in one foreign language, fulfilled by 1) completing a course in a foreign language numbered 202 (or higher level courses or 2) achieving a satisfactory score on an approved proficiency test. * Students may opt to complete their major in Conflict Analysis and Resolution without a concentration. Students may choose this option and complete the conflict resolution core and 18 credits of elective conflict coursework.
** Declaring a concentration is optional. To fulfill the concentration requirement students select six concentration courses. Four of those six courses must be taken from within their chosen concentration. The remaining two concentration courses may be taken from any of the concentration course lists. At least THREE of the six concentration courses must be CONF (prefix) courses. All six courses must be approved concentration courses in the appropriate concentration.
*** Special topics course approved by the program director. On completion, program elective form should be submitted to apply to the concentration.

Degree Works
Degree Works is the degree evaluation system that students can use to see the courses they have taken and the ones they still need to complete for their degree program. Review your Degree Works before registration. To access Degree Works, please log in to Patriot Web, select Student Services, select Student Records, select Degree Evaluation Menu, and then select Degree Works. The degree evaluation presents your requirements in areas called blocks. A green checkbox will appear next to individual requirements that are completed. Students should contact their academic advisor if they have questions about how courses are applied in the degree evaluation.
