[IGC Housing] Fall 2020 - Check - In Period

Message from IGC Housing:
Dear students,
We would like to welcome you all to IGC Student Housing.
As Fall 2020 is near the corner, we would like to inform you about some changes upon the check-in period and process.
First, Fall 2020 IGC Student Housing check-in period is scheduled from August 16th(Sun) to August 23rd(Sun) but the IGC Housing office will be closed on August 17th(Mon) as the government designates it as a temporary holiday.
As a consequence, checking-in on August 17th will not be possible; if you get into your room somehow without check-in, you will be evicted immediately from the IGC dormitory for Fall 2020.
Second, there will be separate check-in stations for Housing A/B residents during the check-in period. If you chose single bed, you need to visit the main lobby at the first floor of Housing B to check in and vice versa. This means that you do not necessarily have to visit IGC Housing Office to check-in but you have to remember that you will be able to check-in between 09:00 and 17:30 during weekday and 09:00 and 16:30 during weekend. Make sure you do not come after these hours as you will not be allowed to check-in. Students are required to check in during the indicated dates and times below as no exceptions will be made.

Third, every individual must wear a mask when entering or exiting the IGC Housing Facilities. Please remember to wear a mask for the safety of everyone in the community. Additionally, The IGC Housing Office will apply strict and severe punishment upon those that do not wear their masks properly. Each incident reported of an individual not wearing a mask will count as a strike, and once an individual receives three strikes he or she will be removed from the Housing facilities. We understand how difficult it is wearing a mask in this hot, humid weather, but we strongly encourage you to follow such instructions for a safe and efficient experience for everyone while you are here in the IGC Housing facility.
Fourth, if there are international students who are required to submit the Chest X-Ray TB test and pay the housing fee after quarantine, your home institution will be reaching out to you for further instructions.
Lastly, if you do not check in by August 23rd, your housing application will be cancelled automatically and you will receive the full refund. However, if you choose to check in during the check-in period and decide to check out in the middle of the semester, refund amount will be calculated based on your check-out date which is consistent with the IGC Housing policy. Within 4 weeks from your check-in date, you are eligible to receive 75% of the total housing fee and within 8 weeks from your check-in date, it will be 50%. Within 12 weeks from your check-in date, you will receive 25% and after 12 weeks from your check in date there will be no refund at all even though you leave earlier than the official check out period. Should your institution decide to move classes online and you opt to move out of the dormitories, IGC Housing will grant refunds based on our refund policy. No exceptions will be made. In addition, there will be no re-check in period for those who check out during the semester.
