Fall 2020 - Transition to Fairfax - I-20/F-1 Visa Preparation

Due to recent events surrounding the COVID-19, there have been any inquiries regarding the Fall 2020 Transition to Fairfax. George Mason University’s Office of International Programs and Services (OIPS) will proceed as normal issuing I-20s for the incoming Fairfax students that will begin on August 17, 2020.
Christina Lehnertz, Director for Immigration Compliance and Advising, George Mason University will be providing an informative webinar regarding I-20/F-1 visa preparation. Please join the session for the latest up-to-date information and inquire any questions you may have.
Students should explore resources that will help better understand the requirement for F-1 students to study in the U.S. The U.S. Government website, StudyInTheStates.dhs.gov is very helpful:
