[Mason Cares] Beach Cleaning
Friday, May 14, 2021 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM KST
Mason Korea’s Mason Cares Program was launched in 2020 as part of the university’s commitment to expanding our community engagement. This semester, we would like to invite you to the “Beach Cleaning Day” on May 14 (Friday) from 9 AM to 12 PM.
Marine debris or contaminated materials discharged into the ocean have had a negative effect on the marine ecosystem. Microplastics, one of the sources of marine debris, are also known as one of the main hazardous substances harming human health which is ingested by contaminated seafood. As a result, many nations and international organizations are calling for action for marine safety and protection of marine life.
