Spring 2022 Research Writing Competition

We are happy to announce the MK Research Writing Competition for the Spring 2022 Semester! There are two divisions in the competition - the Freshman Division and the Open Division.

The Freshman Division is open to all first-year students who are taking ENGH 100/101 and the Open Division is open to all current Mason Korea students who are enrolled in 200-level and above courses. 

We especially encourage students who took ENGH 302 last semester (Fall 2021) to consider entering with their Literature Review assignments - they satisfy all the requirements for the Open Division!

Prizes in each division are awarded as Tuition Scholarship Money: 1st Place - 500,000 KRW  2nd Place - 300,000 KRW  3rd Place – 200,000 KRW

DEI Award - 200,000 KRW (The DEI Award is given to a paper that promotes understanding and discussion related to diversity, equity, and inclusion)

Submissions for the competition should be emailed to Professor Alice Wrigglesworth (awriggle@gmu.edu) by Sunday, May 22. 

The Q&A session for students selected as finalists will be on Tuesday, June 7.
