Session 2: Semiconductors (Sep 30)
Session 3: Cybersecurity and 5G/6G (Oct)
The second session ”Examining US-South Korea Technological Alliance on Semiconductors: Promises, Pressures, and Prospects” will take place on Thursday, September 29th, 2022, at 8:30 PM (EST) | Friday, September 30th, 2022, at 9:30 AM (KST).
This session’s speaker is Dr. June Park and Dr. Dan Kim, and they will probe the opportunities and challenges that underpins greater coordination on the research, design, and manufacturing of semiconductors amid calls to establish the "Fab 4" Alliance.
90-minute virtual discussion will conduct a cost-benefit analysis on the feasibility of a stronger US-South Korea technological alliance on semi-conductors. Distinguished American, Korean, and regional experts will assess the push and pull factors that could drive or hamper such collaboration on the research, design, and manufacturing of semiconductors.
