US-ROK Industry Collaboration Panel

At this event, high-level representatives from George Mason University in the US will describe how George Mason research is powering key industrial segments, including bioscience, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, power engineering and shipbuilding. They will explain how Mason works with US and international government and industrial partners and suggest how Mason might likewise lend its research and educational capacity to Korean industrial development.  

The event will consist of a one-hour panel discussion moderated by George Mason University President Dr. Gregory Washington. He will be joined on the panel by distinguished Mason leaders in the critical areas of research, all of whom are charged with bringing to industry and government George Mason research and have long track records of doing so.

Dr. Liza Wilson Durant, Associate Provost for Strategic Initiatives and Community Engagement and a professor and Associate Dream at the Volgenau College of Engineering and Computing. She is currently the Director of the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative’s (CCI) Northern Virginia Node.

Dr. Ajay Vinzé, Dean of the Costello College of Business

Dr. Rémi Veneziano, Associate Professor, Department of Bioengineering

Following the panel there will be a small-table reception to allow attendees one-on-one conversations with the Mason panelists and with one another.
