We are pleased to announce an upcoming session for the Spring 2025 Mason Korea Research Writing Workshops. We think that this topic will be helpful for all students working on writing assignments for their courses at Mason Korea this semester, from first semester freshmen to advanced students in upper-level courses. Please note that this workshop is offered in-person.

This workshop will include information about scholarly journal sources and how to evaluate them – Why is the peer review process so important for scholarly research? What is a predatory journal, and why should students avoid using articles published in them for their research projects? What are ‘journal quartiles’ (Q1-Q4) and how do they categorize scholarly publications? We’ll answer these questions and much more!
