Ten Mason Korea students recently visited Samsung Biologics in Songdo, Incheon, for a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insights into one of Korea's leading biotechnology companies.
Students explored Samsung Biologics' cutting-edge facilities, including laboratories and the PR center, providing a glimpse into the company's development processes and future endeavors.
A highlight of the visit was a special session with Mason Korea alumna Yeji Kim (Management Information Systems, ’18), who currently serves as a Senior Specialist in Production Planning at Samsung Biologics. Kim shared her expertise through an interactive presentation, followed by an insightful Q&A session.
"It was a great opportunity to learn and explore more about the biotechnology industry and Samsung Biologics itself,” said Yejun Hwang, a sophomore majoring in Global Affairs. “We also appreciated the chance to discuss career opportunities and preparations with the HR team at Samsung Biologics, and to receive valuable insights and advice from our alumna who works there."
Mason Korea’s Office of Development and Strategic Partnerships plans to offer more company visits in the coming semesters, providing students with further opportunities for experiential learning and professional growth.
