Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students of George Mason University Korea,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 2021 CSPS-Korea Knowledge in Motion Seminar on “Refugees: Our Unfounded Fear”, organized by the Center Security and Policy Studies-Korea (CSPS-Korea).

The first Knowledge in Motion Series aims to address the human security challenges faced by refugees as they attempt to find and adapt to a new home. The Series opens up its arena of discussion by showing a documentary film on the lives of the Syrian Refugees as they readjust to life in Baltimore, Maryland in the United States. The Series then brings together experts and representatives from both Advocates for Public Interest Law (APIL) and the IOM-Migration Research Training Center (MRTC), a non-governmental organization and an intergovernmental organization that investigate all matters relating to migration and refugees, to discuss the struggles and implications of those with, or applying for, refugee status.

The event will be held in-person on November 24, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 2:40 PM at the IGC 5F Small Theatre. Under the current COVID-19 circumstance, there would be a limited number of available seats and it is highly recommended to fill out the RSVP form as soon as possible to reserve your seats on-site.
