Dr. Soyoung Kwon, Assistant Professor of Global Affairs, was recently appointed as a member of Incheon City’s Peace City Initiative Committee by Incheon Mayor Park Nam-chun. As one of four academic experts among 30 committee members, Kwon plans to contribute her extensive experience in diplomacy and politics to a potential “peace city Incheon” to strengthen inter-Korean exchange and cooperation in creating a border peace zone.

Summer Olympic Brown is a junior study abroad student from the Fairfax campus. She is double majoring in Conflict Analysis and Resolution with a concentration in Global Engagement and Foreign Languages with a concentration in Korean. As an aspiring diplomat and Korea enthusiast, Brown is thrilled to be back in Korea for the third time to fully immerse in Korean culture and language.

Da Jung (Michelle) Jung graduated last summer with a BA in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. She was recently awarded scholarships from several esteemed graduate programs in the field of international affairs. She confidently states that her undergraduate career paved the way for her graduate school success.

Mason Korea signed an MOU with Incheons' Bupyeong district for mutual cooperation in conflict management in the local community through expertise provided by Mason Korea's Conflict Analysis and Resolution program and Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia).

Mason Korea signed an MOU with XAI Land to cooperate on educational, experiential learning, and professional development. XAI Land is a PropTech startup that analyzes real estate transactions and provides current and future Korean real estate price predictions using big data and AI. This partnership will allow Mason Korea students to gain hands-on experience working with XAI Land’s data scientists and get a glimpse into the business operations of startups.
