Mason Korea’s Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia in partnership with UniKorea Foundation held a Problem Solving Workshop at the IGC Small Theater last week as the final session of the Global Unification Boot Camp Academy.

Professor Rod Rothwell, who teaches business at Mason Korea, recently gave a one-day Business English Workshop for 16 chemical engineers at BASF Korea’s Ulsan site to help improve their English communication and presentation skills when working with overseas businesses and contacts.

Mason Korea’s location in the Songdo International Business District gives students direct access to the UN offices housed in Songdo. Three Global Affairs students have enjoyed unique experiences at various UN offices this year.

Samuel Wilson, a junior majoring in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Mason Korea, recently won the Commendation award for the 17th Economic Essay Contest hosted by The Korea Times and sponsored by Woori Bank. He is officially the first Mason Korea student to win an essay award by The Korea Times.

Sangyong Lee, Director of Mason Korea's Career Development Center and four Mason Korea graduates were recently featured in a major Korean daily, The JoongAng Ilbo. The article covers Mason Korea's achievement of a total graduate employment rate of 80%, three years since establishing the Career Development Center (CDC).

Mason Korea's fundraiser between Chuseok and Thanksgiving to create need-based travel scholarships exceeded its $25,000 goal.

Mason Korea officially partnered with OnHappy, Incheon’s first international educational development NGO under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mason Korea Campus Dean Robert Matz signed an MOU with OnHappy Chairman In-Sik Bae to collaborate on providing internships, experiential learning, and overseas volunteer work opportunities for students.

Mason Korea welcomed the Costa Rican President H.E. Carlos Alvarado Quesada and his delegation to the Incheon Global Campus (IGC) for an MOU signing ceremony held in collaboration with the University of Utah Asia Campus.
