Faculty members can teach for a semester and more as extensions are possible with agreement between the two campuses. Please note that more than two years of teaching in Korea will result in increased tax implications.
What kinds of classes might I teach there?
Faculty can teach courses related to both undergraduate and graduate degrees offered by Mason Korea. In addition to Mason Core offerings, faculty may also be able to teach courses in their specialty area. Please contact the Associate Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs , for more information. Additionally, there are training and research opportunities through the Industry-University Collaboration Foundation (IUCF) – providing students with experiential learning and professional growth.
Can I do research in Korea?
Absolutely. Think about Mason Korea as a gateway to research in Asia. Currently, two centers exist to help promote scholarship.
What are living arrangements like?
Depending on your individual situation, Mason Korea has arrangements to support your needs. Faculty members often bring their immediate family members. Even their pets!
Depending on availability, there is a guest house option, faculty housing, and residence halls.
