Professor Borislava Manojlovic recently led an online panel discussion called Conflict in Ukraine: Perspectives and Implications. Professor Manojlovic teaches Conflict Analysis and Resolution and serves as Co-Director of the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia) at Mason Korea.
The panel featured four experts from around the globe: Dr. Andrea Bartoli (President of Sant'Egidio Foundation for Peace and Dialogue, New York), Dr. Philipp Fluri (Geneva Centre for Security Policy, Geneva/Kaohsiung), Dr. Tetsushi Ogata (Visiting Assistant Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies, Soka University of America, California), and Dr. Bridget Moix (General Secretary, Friends Committee on National Legislation, Washington, DC).
The expert panelists discussed the background of the conflict and Russo-Ukrainian relations, religious actors and peacemaking in the case of Ukraine, possibilities of peace and prevention of future conflicts, and the Ukrainian crisis and alternative nonviolent approaches. Around 60 participants joined the online session and had a chance to ask questions after the panel discussion.
