Mason Korea Professor Steps Up to Serve Incheon

Dr. SeoYoung Lee, who teaches communication at Mason Korea, is actively bringing her expertise to the city of Incheon. She is a communication specialist and has worked as a TV anchor and MC.

Dr. Lee was recently appointed as a member of the City Brand Management Committee by the chief officer of the Brand Management department at Incheon City Hall. She will be serving a two-year term alongside faculty from universities across Gyeonggi Province and Incheon City, as well as specialists.

In addition to serving the local government, Dr. Lee has also been appointed as the coordinator for the Global Media Literacy Program organized by Incheon International Education Institute. The summer program is designed to provide educational courses on media and speech for middle and high school students interested in global media. As program coordinator, Dr. Lee is responsible for curriculum development.

It’s an honor to represent Mason Korea as a member of Incheon’s City Brand Management Committee, as well as through the locally organized media literacy program,” said Dr. Lee. “I am planning to invite Mason Korea faculty and our student journalist organization, The Voice, to the program to provide mentoring sessions. I also look forward to providing opportunities for local students to interact with broadcasting and media experts. It would be even better if those students gain interest in studying at Mason Korea,” she added.
