George Mason University has provided the foundation for me to establish myself as a professor and opinion leader in the IT field up until today. The professors' pioneering research, personal interest, and guidance have been a great source of strength for young individuals striving to settle and achieve their dreams in a foreign land. In this regard, expressing my gratitude is only natural, but I regret not being able to contribute more to the university’s benefit.
Moving forward, I would like to volunteer and donate for my alma mater as much as possible. If my contributions can help the development of Mason Korea, it would be meaningful in any way. However, I believe it would have even more significance if it can be of some assistance to foreign students like me.
조지메이슨대학은 제가 오늘날 IT분야에서 교수로서, 오피니언리더로서 자리를 잡는데 기반을 만들어 주었습니다. 교수님들의 선도적인 연구와 개인적인 관심과 지도는 이국 땅에서 정착하여 꿈을 이루고자 하는 청년의 큰 힘이었습니다. 그러한 측면에서 저의 작은 감사의 표현은 당연한 것이며, 좀 더 학교에 도움이 되지 못하는 것에 아쉬움이 있습니다.
앞으로도 힘 닿는대로 모교를 위한 봉사와 기부를 하고자 하며, 모교의 발전에 도움이 되고자 합니다. 과거의 저처럼 외국 국적을 갖고 공부하는 학생들에게 조금이라도 더 도움이 된다면 제 기부가 좀 더 의미가 있을 것이라 생각합니다.
