Pre-Departure Orientation KST November 6,
10 PM - 12 AM		 Via Zoom / Check your email.
Flight tickets & Travel arrangement -   Students are to arrange travel individually. Students should arrive after (TBA) and before the in-person international student orientation on (TBA).
Immunization Record Upload Deadline EST TBA Access the Patient Portal with your Patriot Web credentials.
Check Bill + Payment and review payment options EST TBA For registration done by (TBA). 
F-1 Immigration and Compliance Webinar EST TBA Mandatory, Online, ET 09:00 - 10:30.
On-Campus Housing Early Move-in Date EST TBA Check packing information on the HRL website.
International Undergraduate Student Orientation EST TBA Mandatory, In-Person, Location TBD at GMU Fairfax Campus, ET 09:00 - 14:00.

Important Dates for Housing Application

  • 10 AM, Tuesday, November 4, 2025 EST: Spring 2026 ONLY housing application opens.
  • 10 AM, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, EST: Academic Year Fall 2026-Spring 2027 housing application opens.
  • December 1, 2025 EST: Students completing their final semester at Fairfax in Fall 2025 must submit a release request by the first week of December 2025. The deadline is subject to change—please double-check with the HRL at housing@gmu.edu.
  • NOTE: If you fail to submit the release request by the due date, Fairfax Housing and Residence Life will still process the request if you will no longer take classes at the Fairfax campus. 

 

How Housing Application Cycles Work

On-campus residency is offered on an academic-year basis. Assuming you are to spend two consecutive semesters at GMU Fairfax;

  • If you are starting your semester at Fairfax in the spring, you will need to submit two separate housing applications: one for the spring semester and another for the following academic year. 

Students who intend to leave housing at the end of the fall semester should apply for cancellation.
