CDS 102 provides a hands-on introduction to computational and data sciences using R. Students will apply techniques for data cleaning, wrangling, visualization, exploratory data analysis, modeling, and basic statistical inference. Through practical exercises, students will gain experience working with real-world datasets and applying computational approaches to data analysis. The course focuses on building practical skills in data analysis and computational problem-solving. Students will also gain experience documenting and communicating their analyses in a clear and reproducible manner.

Experiments in computational and data sciences explore the connections between on-going advances in the natural sciences and the rapid advances in computing and data handling. Lab exercises demonstrate the use of computers in analyzing data, in modeling science problems, and in creating numerical simulations across the science disciplines. Offered by Computational & Data Sciences. Limited to three attempts.
